Please continue to read the Stoller Weekly for information about this year's Mathcounts team.
If your child is interested in any of these competitions you will need to register them to take the ORQE (Online Regional Qualifying Exam) on the IAC website. To register your child please visit orqe.iacompetitions.com and choose "Sponsor Registration" under the "Site Map" heading. Under "Tell Us About Yourself", this is Parent/Guardian information NOT the student information. You will need to select your school (Stoller) and select your relationship to the school as Parent/Guardian.
*Note - you can also register your child for the US Academic Bee, though there is no qualification exam needed.
Once you register your child, you should begin to receive sponsor emails with relevant dates and information. ORQE's open in late November and close February 1st, 2021 at 11:59 PST (this is the testing window for your child to take their ORQE's). Once you have registered your child you can log in (using your sponsorship account) and have your child take the exam at a time that is convenient for you, when you are able to proctor/monitor the exam process.
Earlier this year OBOB decided that it would not run Regional or Statewide competitions this year. With the announcement that CDL will continue through February 8th, it will be impossible to run a safe and effective program at Stoller this year.
If we all work together to practice social distancing, mask wearing, and other safety measures, we can plan on a robust OBOB program in 2021-22.
Thanks to all those students who registered for this year's competition. Sign-ups were closed as of November 30th. If you signed up to be on a team you will receive a confirmation email (via School Messenger) next week.
For now you can organize your team, study and find an adult (parent) coach (a coach is not required, this is just if you want one).
